Things must really have gone right with Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. At least, that would seem to be the indication as Disney has just announced that they will be allowing Rian to helm a stand alone trilogy set within the Star Wars universe!

Congrats to him!

Quite the amazing opportunity, and hopefully it will be something we can all be even more excited about come Dec. 15 when we’ve (hopefully) confirmed what Disney must already be assuming about his abilities to make amazingly good Star Wars content.

The first ‘Deadpool 2’ poster is here!

When it comes to marketing, the first Deadpool film was second to none. As we start our ramp up to Deadpool 2, I would expect nothing less than the  exemplary marketing to continue.

We’ve already seen the still images of Cable and the hilarious phone booth segment released before Logan, now we have a poster!

This poster brings the whole gang together for the holidays, teases more shenanigans,  and offers foreshadowing for the clever marketing to come.

What do you think??!!

Lucasfilm announces an upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi film! Finally!

Apparently the details are still sparse as they are working on assembling their team. As of right now it looks like Stephen Daldry is in early negotiations to direct.

The BIG question is… Will Ewan McGregor be in it?!!!!

obi wan kenobi the reel review movie news lucasfilm post news podcast

He is arguable one of the best parts of the prequel trilogy and it would be a huge missed opportunity if he wasn’t asked to come back and play the part.

I’ve been championing this idea since it hit the rumor mill what seems like years ago! If they can place the story sometime between EP. 3 and 4, it would be perfect! There are basically decades of stories worth to tell, until we see him in A New Hope.

How pumped are you?!!!
